Great. More crying from my fellow PVE'ers. Yes, a few of the nerfs seem a bit harsh, but overall nothing that can't be managed. It's PVE for crying out loud, it's already easy enough for anyone to overcome any nerf.
It's completely ridiculous that some of you are still crying about nerfs. Skill balance is a part of MMO life especially GW, get over it. If PVE is "ruined" for you just because of a few nerfs, then this was never the game for you in the first place.

My 3 top classes: Sin, Para, Ele.
Screw you.
Though, to be honest, the Sin nerf doesn't hurt me much except for Siphon which I only use in AB. I've never been a fan of the SP or DA Sin, so I'm actually quite happy about those nerfs.
The Ele nerfs suck. Paragon nerfs don't hurt *that* much, in my opinion.
Way not happy with Ele though.

I don't think you'll find anyone saying that PvE is ruined due to these skill updates. Mostly, what people hate is that they're taking absolutely fine skills, chopping them up, putting them in a blender, and spitting what's left out, while there are hundreds of never-used skills that are left untouched. It's just ludicrous.

Great update, can't wait to find those fancy new weapons!
I have to say to the PvE whiners, I have been playing for three yearsish now, and very few nerfs have affected me negatively. At first I thought the Necro minion limit was really mean, but then I realized that more classes were getting equal play, and that ten minions was more of a challenge and the art of MMing improved. I ended up happy. Every time a major nerf comes around, I barely notice it in PvE. Paragons or Assasins? Their dislike in PvE is equivalent to the media frenzy surrounding a split rumour about a canditate of some sort. They are just as effective at the game, but their bad rep was solidified with crazies who think the nerfs really did much to halt killing monsters.
As for Theif, holy crap, thats hilarious! Turtle Siege for the win! Eternal Grove just got awesomely easy.

P.S. I completely agree that ANet should BUFF a heck of a lot of skills that are entirely unused. Elite and non-elite. There are plenty of skills that have literally no purpose in any bar.
I'm still waiting for the update that changes some elite skills to non-elite with minor adjustments on some values.

This happens to every game, the minority so called elite take control and ruin the game for the masses. Its always a minority, and its always involves someone on the inside (devs) who are part of this group or are easily swayed by this group. The devs are human its going to happen, only a god could remain totally unbiased, but they're not, they're just human and they will get taken over by the elite minority, they are elite afterall, and they are usually smarter than the devs. Its exactly like real life, the best elite humans take control of the masses, except the only difference between games and real life is that in life we dont choose to get born but in games we we do.. we buy the game or we dont.
I do see a reason to balance PVP, if it needs fixing then fix it, I dont see the reason why or how such a small part of the game where the minoirty of the 5 million playerbase lies gets prioirty.

Toning down overused skills is a necessary component of shifting the metagame. Except for "Watch Yourself!" (which I think will be reverted), the skill changes here were between good and meh.

A sad day for Warriors and Paragon's. Apparently tanks and buff party builds are no-go. This is the wrong signal for those who hope GW2 will have a better PvE environment :/

Let me say something regarding PvP nerfs in PvE.
They don't affect your game, at all. The monsters are still predictable, the mob will still die before your eyes, in fact, you can still kill them with empty skill bars.
The WY! nerf is a little harsh, sure.
Who cares about the other ones? The elementalist is still very powerful and has dozens of skills to play, along with the warrior.
This is PvE, you have PvE skills for a reason. If you can't beat PvE with a bunch of already overpowered-yet ignored skills in addition to thoroughly overpowered PvE skills, there's something wrong with your play style.
The Para nerfs simply force you to play a little smarter, a bit more focused on your energy, and the like. Most nerfs, if you think about it, simply prevent you from mashing the same several skills over and over, which is a good thing.
This balance is to be quite honest one of the more innovative and interestingly executed balances I have seen, and aside from a slight nerf to Guardian (which is still highly useful), it's very enjoyable, and doesn't affect my playstyle in the slightest, be it PvE or PvP.

This is why I'll never understand why game companies don't wise up and split PvP and PvE skill behaviors in these sorts of games. PvE players think you're all Halo-addled fratboy idiots and you think we're all dice-rolling, cheetohs-chomping supernerds. I wish game companies would just quit trying to force us to play together. I don't like you, I don't like your gameplay style, and I'm hardly alone. I'm sure the feeling is mutual.
Quit forcing us to interact!
Also: update is still fail. Half these nerfs don't even make any ***king sense from a PvP OR PvE perspective.

Other than SoS (the assassin elite), Watch yourself, MAYBE flame djinn's, and somewhat Grenth's Aura being overkilled, what's wrong? Sorry, I might have missed another overkill.
Edit: Look up at Snow Bunny's post, right above mine. That is exactly what I agree with.
Editx2: Tanks suck, always will.

PvP players had to buy the new campaigns too if they wanted to get the new skills...

Don't mind me, I'm just tired of having to constantly redo skill templates because PvE gets d***ed up by skill changes that were done to benefit PvP. The problem is, these things may improve PvP, but they just have weird, pointless, or damaging effects in PvE most of the time, and fixing those screw ups usually is more a matter of tedium than actual thought. If there were PvE skill balances meant to create some more challenge in PvE it would be different, but we don't get that, we just get whatever bizarre side-effect the skill change has on our gameplay.
It was kind of fun playing around with the puzzle pieces the first few dozen times, but it's really getting old now that I'm used to the skills and am not really finding new things in each profession. And I'm REALLY tired of the PvP people just brushing off the complaints with their arrogant horse crap as if PvP is the be-all end-all of gaming (newsflash: the nerds CREATED this entire genre for you haloheads...).
I really just want a game where the PvP and PvE skill treatments are different, because PvP and PvE will never be the same or require the same tactics.

And no one is really paying for their servers, anyways. We made a one-time purchase, that's it.

?What farming build?
The D/A spikers are the ones who got nerfed the worst, and that's a PvP build.
I guess i doesn't matter... Last time the farmboys threw hissy fits and threatened to quit GW over Storm Djinns Haste being dropped to 25% from 33%, because that slowed down their farming of Raptors. No nerf is too small, or too easily adjusted for, to to throw a tantrum over if you're a farmboy.
I think it was a good rebalancing. One of the best in quite a while, actually.
EDIT: And please don't confuse farmers with actual PvE players.
